DAVID ZILETTI

David is an avid outdoorsman and has always enjoyed working with his hands. Initially joining Sycamore as a weekend contractor, he learned the business working side by side with founder Dick McDaniel. After stepping away from his career in the technology business, David officially joined Sycamore full-time in 2008. Today, he serves as owner/operator and strives to uphold Dick’s legacy, commitment to quality craftsmanship and passion for the industry on each project.

MIMI ZILETTI

Mimi grew up surrounded by the building business after her father started Sycamore Building in 1971. After retiring from a career in teaching in 2018, she formally joined the business to assist with day-to-day operations. Today, Mimi uses her love of creating spaces to assist clients in the design process—from plumbing to lighting fixtures, and everything in between. No matter the size of the project, Mimi enjoys creating spaces tailored to each client’s individual style.

LEE BUCKNER

A natural craftsman, Lee brings an expertise and knowledge to Sycamore that can only be learned through years of hard work and hands on experience. In 1980, he joined Sycamore as a carpenter’s assistant, eventually leaving for school and starting his own company. Over the next several years, Lee grew his company while working alongside the Sycamore team on several projects and in 2017, rejoined Sycamore Building in a full-time capacity.

KIERNAN ZILETTI

Born and raised in Richmond, Kiernan has always had a passion for the history and unique architectural character of Virginia. Previously working for Sycamore as a carpenter’s assistant, Kiernan earned a degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Mary Washington in 2017. Today, he assists Sycamore on historic projects while also serving the Richmond region as a licensed Realtor®.
